Jo Ann O'Hara has been studying painting in the Greenwich area for the past eight years. Previous to painting, and raising children, she was in the fashion business. She is a member of Greenwich Art Society, Art Society of Old Greenwich and Greenwich Arts Council. Her work has been shown in local Connecticut venues.

O'Hara has been teaching painting and art classes in Greenwich, CT to adults and children ages 6 and older at the Art Lab for the last five years. O'Hara says she enjoys teaching art classes for all ages, and sharing her passion for painting. She says she finds it satisfying to watch children and adults become engrossed with the process of painting and to feel that therapeutic peace that comes with painting. The art students read about master painters and explore the master's paintings. The artists then paint by patterning their work after a master painter, using their own interpretation.
